Aftercare

First 24 Hours

Leave the bandage on for at least 24 hours. When you remove it, wash your hands first. Gently soak the bandage in warm water to loosen it, then peel it off. Clean the tattoo with a mild, fragrance‑free soap and lukewarm water. Pat dry with a clean towel. You do not need to re‑bandage the tattoo afterwards.

Cleaning & Moisturising

For the first two weeks, wash the tattoo twice daily using a gentle cleanser. After cleaning, apply a thin layer of fragrance‑free moisturiser or ointment. Avoid petroleum‑based products. Continue this routine until the tattoo has fully healed.

Healing Process

Itching, flaking and light scabbing are normal during the first two weeks. Do not scratch or pick at scabs. Keep cleaning and moisturising daily. After about three weeks, most scabs will have fallen off and flakiness will reduce. The outer skin typically heals within two months, but deeper layers can take several months.

What to Avoid

• Do not scratch, pick or exfoliate the tattoo.
• Avoid petroleum jelly and heavy ointments.
• Keep the tattoo out of direct sunlight and do not apply sunscreen until fully healed.
• Do not soak the tattoo in water (no swimming pools, baths or hot tubs) until it is completely healed.
• Avoid tight clothing that rubs against the tattooed area.

When to Seek Help

Some redness, oozing and tenderness is normal during the first few days. However, if you experience fever, increased pain, foul odour, excessive drainage or spreading redness, contact a healthcare professional immediately.
